LOAL
Love on a Leash -The Foundation for Pet-Provided Therapy is a non-profit organization with the mission of spreading joy in the community via certified therapy pets. Dogs, cats, and their handlers visit nursing homes, hospitals, schools, and libraries in Pulaski and surrounding counties.
While this is not a part of LCKC, it is closely affiliated with the kennel club. Many LOAL volunteers are also members of LCKC and the obedience classes sponsored by LCKC, often prepare dogs and their owners for the LOAL certification requirements.
R.E.A.D. - Reading Education Assistance Dogs
Several LOAL certified therapy dogs are also certified in R.E.A.D. They go to schools and libraries to assist in boosting children's reading and communication skills.
